WHITE WINES

Brut MILLESIMATO "LR"

Arneis Spumante Brut, typical, fresh and fruity.

A NEW CHAPTER IN THE STORY OF MONTARIBALDI

There is a new chapter in the history of Montaribaldi, made of bubbles, deep roots, and family ties. We officially present LR, our new Spumante Brut Millesimato, which as of today replaces our historic Taliano Giuseppe sparkling wine to mark a new beginning!

What does LR stand for? It is much more than a name; it is an acronym that encapsulates our identity and history:

  • 📍 LANGHE & ROERO: Our lands. Our family roots lie in Roero, but when our grandparents married, they moved here, to Barbaresco.

  • ❤️ LUCIANO & ROBERTO: The current owners of the winery. This new bottle is dedicated to those who lead it every day with dedication.

To unite these two souls, we chose to make LR with an ARNEIS base, creating an even deeper and unbreakable connection with our land.

VINIFICATION

The harvest is early to preserve acidity and freshness, taking place between the beginning and the first half of September. After soft pressing, the temperature is immediately lowered for decantation. For the second fermentation (prise de mousse), a complete fermentation is carried out directly from the must using the Martinotti method. Since the process is carried out directly starting from the must (characterized by a high natural sugar concentration), the second fermentation is slower and takes more time. This prolonged course allows for the creation and extraction of greater intensity and complexity of aromas, while better preserving those originating from the grape. Finally, isobaric bottling is performed, preceded by cold stabilization. It is a millesimato sparkling wine, meaning it does not undergo blending with wines from other vintages but is produced entirely with grapes from the vintage indicated on the label
